Went immediately to the bookstore and got several copies for friends and family as gifts.
Beautiful photography and well written. Helps to understand the immensity of the bear/human interaction and the associated problems.
Bears lose every time.
I just finished reading "a Whistler Bear Story."
I will be audacious enough to call it perfect. I really can't compare it to any book that I've read. It is so rare for a book with substantial informative and inspirational content to be such an easy-read.
I never put the book down after opening it. I only grunted when my wife, Sharie tried to talk to me or I muttered, "I'm reading - I'll talk to you in a minute."
Well.... now Sharie is several pages into the book and I may as well get back to work!
