I was looking for an ABC book that was more advanced than the regular picture book. My son is nearly 5 years old and in preschool. He loves this book..Every new letter page has an imaginary story woven with words beginning with that letter which makes it easier for kids to remember. Examples come from food, animals, seasons, months, feelings, actions etc. So it is not just a picture book with just objects and things. Great book and highly recommend to all kids.Product details

This book is so much fun! I have to admit that it is still a little too advanced for my 1 and 2 year old to really understand the creative way of words used in the book BUT they love to look at the illustrations while I'm reading it to them. Can't wait for the next years to come to share all the meaningful letters with my two little ones! Also we bought the book on a book reading with the author and she wrote a personal inscription which the kids thought was very cool) See picture.
A New and Creative take on the Alphabet
Extremely well written book sure to educate and entertain Pre-K and Kindergarten kids. Each page introduces many nouns and verbs beginning with the specific letter in a whimsical way. Kids will not only learn the sounds and letters by repetition but will also learn many new words on every page.
The vivid hand drawn pictures make each page a story of it’s own. I also love the deeper theme of diversity apparent throughout the book. Reminds me of “Be together. Not the same”. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun, engaging Alphabet book that will also expand the child’s vocabulary.

A book vastly different from all the ABC books I've come across up to now.Captivating and colourfull illustrations and the story type writing will surely keep little ones glued to the book I m sure!
My daughter loves this book and all the silly words. It's a tongue twister for mom to read, but we have a fun time talking about all the animals and food in the story. We also got to meet Charmalee!
This book contains hand drawn, brightly colored images on every page and those alone make the book such a page turner. The different animal friendships are super cute. Love the sweet, silly rhymes that introduce some complex words. My kids and I absolutely love this ABC book!
An amazingly interesting book, which has become our family favourite. My sons read it every day with a challenge to master their own reading skills. I must admit this book has become my 7 year old"s tongue twister yet my 3 year old admires the illustrations and adjectives attached to the illustrations.I would say the author has achieved her objective in introducing good vocabulary to children and I would recommend this book for families as it makes such a positive difference in reading time at home.
As a speech-language pathologist, I absolutely love this book! It has so many great alliteration phrases as well as detailed pictures. I have read this book to my children at home which has been a great read! I have also used this book in therapy with my children. I have used it during reading for those who need to hear repetition of the same sounds as well as having the children use the pictures to elicit the target sound.
The pictures are so detailed and the message behind each page is positive.
A great addition to my toolbox at home and at work!
